From Rodman Scholars Program

Jump to: navigation, search

This page is designed to be a starting point for you to gather more information about the Rodman Scholars Program. Please feel free to read the information below, or skip to the bottom where you can find a comprehensive list of site articles that may be pertinent to your information search. If you have already accepted your admission to U.Va and the Rodman Scholars Program, go to the Current Students page, where we have a few pages targeted specifically to you.

[edit] Prospective Rodmans

You fit into this category if you are in the process of applying to colleges, if you are a first semester first year U.Va student looking to apply through the Mid-Year Process, or if you have already received a letter of acceptance into the Rodman Scholars Program. We would like to help you figure out who exactly we are and what exactly we will be doing to augment your experience at the University of Virginia.

[edit] Where to Look

For a little background about the program, try the history page. If you've read through the history, or if you're a little bit more concerned about your present than our past, we recommend that you check out our Rodman Council or Rodman Newsletter page to get a sense of what we're working on as a program. The First Year Courses page should give you a better idea of how the Rodman Program differs from the standard U.Va engineering experience academically. While you are looking at these pages, don't be afraid to peruse a little bit. Click on links, use the search bar: the best way to evaluate our program (short of coming to Charlottesville) is to get lost in this wiki and venture over to the Current Students section. You will see that this site is not just an information depot, but an interactive environment currently employed by our students to organize, network, and share experiences.

[edit] More Questions?

First, see if our General FAQ can help you out. If not, please feel free to contact any or all of the current Rodman Council officers or our program director, Professor Dana Elzey.
