[edit] Description

From the Undergraduate Record:

Provides cultural capstone to the undergraduate experience. Students make presentations based on topics not covered in the traditional curriculum. Emphasizes learning the mechanisms by which researchers and practicing computer scientists can access information relevant to their discipline, and on the professional computer scientist’s responsibility in society.

However, what the course really is depends on the professor leading the seminar. For example, in the spring of 2008, under Assoc. Prof. Jim Cohoon, the seminar was a lecture series, where each week a different professor from the CS department would come in and give a lecture on his or her research. A one-page paper on the subject would be due the following week.
